When community members pooled their resources to form the Berlin Hospital Association in 1911, little did they know how much their hometown hospital would impact the local quality of life the next 100 years and beyond.
The Community Health Network wellness campaign Read. Run. Reach. is in full swing at All Saints Catholic School. This campaign began on February 28 as a collaboration between the schools in Berlin and CHN as a way to increase awareness of the importance of literacy, physical activity, and being kind and thoughtful in actions. With the hustle and bustle filling everyone’s day, CHN Medical Center Green Lake is here to help by offering hours that fit into your schedule. Jim Williams, MD, Jared Kohlenberg, DO, and Leesa McShane, FNP, along with their staff, are offering extended hours three days a week – Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

The 650 students listened attentively as Mrs. Alf encouraged them to read 12 books, run (or participate in an equivalent fitness activity) a total of 12 miles and do 12 random acts of kindness.
Community Health Network has recently completed a major software upgrade as the healthcare organization progresses toward full implementation of electronic medical record. We are aware that as part of the upgrade, some of the information on patient statements has created questions.
Community Health Network is excited to be teaming up with the Berlin Area School District to provide a 12 week wellness campaign for area students called “Read. Run. Reach.”
The “Read. Run. Reach.” program began on February 25, 2013 and encourages students to:
• Read 12 books for elementary aged students or read 12 hours for grades 6-12
• Run (or participate in an equivalent fitness activity) a total of 12 miles for elementary aged students or 12 hours for grades 6-12
• Do 12 random acts of kindness
Expectant mothers who are in the early stages of their pregnancy have an opportunity to undergo a screening to assess their risk of having a baby with chromosomal abnormalities, including Down syndrome and congenital heart defects, thanks to a prenatal test that recently became available at the Berlin Hospital campus of Community Health Network.
Community Health Network is very excited to announce the addition of Jeff Meincke, MD, as their newest Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Meincke will be teaming up with CHN Orthopedic Surgeons David Jones, MD, and John Horan, MD to provide clinical excellence and optimal surgical outcomes. Dr. Meincke brings with him over 12 years of experience, and will begin seeing patients on October 8, 2012.
Jared Kohlenberg, DO, has recently joined Community Health Network, providing services at CHN Medical Center – Green Lake. He is a family practice physician who provides pediatric, obstetric, adolescent, adult and geriatric health care services.
