Meet the CEO

Community Health Network in Berlin is proud to have Mr. John Feeney as their President/Chief Executive Officer since April of 2011.

JFeeney2Although he was born and raised in Florida, growing up on Sanibel Island, he calls Wisconsin home, having been a resident of Green Lake for over 20 years. He graduated from Culver Military Academy in Northern Indiana in 1990, and then headed north to attend Ripon College. “When I came for the college campus visit, we also had a tour around Green Lake and the lake and area really captured me,” said Feeney. He graduated from Ripon College with a Bachelor of Science in English and a minor in Cultural Anthropology. He received his MBA from Northwestern University- Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Illinois.

Most recently, Feeney spent 12 years at Aurora Health Care in Oshkosh. He was a part of business and market development, along with strategic planning and operations. For two years he held the position of Chief Administrative Officer. “Throughout my various schooling, research, and positions at Aurora, I have observed and studied healthcare delivery models all over the globe – from China to Europe and throughout the United States,” said Feeney. The expertise and high energy he brings to healthcare is a great addition to an organization that has been in existence over 100 years. He has an outstanding performance track record as a results-oriented leader.

“I am honored to hold the lead role at CHN and strongly believe that teamwork, accountability, and respect is crucial to the success of the organization. I plan to continue the great progress CHN has made in the industry and remain an instrumental factor in future growth and development,” said Feeney. “I have a deep sense of pride and commitment to this organization as it is where I’m raising my family.”

John and his wife Gretchen have four- year old twins – Aiden and Maddy, and together they enjoy the many outdoor activities that Wisconsin country living provides. Feeney is an avid runner, cyclist, and tri-athlete; along with a strong passion for hunting and fishing.

“My goal as the CEO is to keep CHN on their path of excellence and enhance service line offerings to communities where appropriate. I also plan to stay on track as a good corporate neighbor with CHN being the largest employer in Green Lake County.”
